Cisco Umbrella has evolved to Cisco Secure Access
OpenDNS enterprise security products were rebranded to Cisco Umbrella in 2016. And now Cisco Umbrella has evolved to Cisco Secure Access.
It has always been our mission to provide powerful security solutions that are easy to deploy and simple to manage. We have continued to deliver on this mission since the acquisition by Cisco in 2015, and OpenDNS became the foundation of the cloud security strategy at Cisco under the Umbrella brand.
Building on Cisco Umbrella’s proven security, Cisco Secure Access now offers even more advanced protection. Cisco Secure Access is like Umbrella 2.0: delivering an intuitive user experience, simplified IT management, and powerful new capabilities. This evolution isn’t just about a new name; it’s about reimagining secure connectivity and access for the modern workplace.
Note: The OpenDNS brand will remain for the consumer products (free home offerings).
