Cisco Umbrella’s SWG is a full proxy that logs and inspects your organization’s web traffic to deliver full visibility, URL and application-level controls, and advanced threat protection.

SWG is essential to a Security Service Edge (SSE) architecture that also includes Umbrella’s firewall as a service (FWaaS), cloud access security broker (CASB), and DNS-layer security. With Umbrella as a foundation, and the addition of a Meraki or Viptela software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN), an SSE architecture evolves toward a Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) architecture that delivers best-in-class secure connectivity for modern hybrid workplaces and remote workers.
